Procedures – Lip Augmentation

There are several methods used for augmenting or increasing the fullness and projection of the lips. These range from the simple injection of collagen in the office setting, to the insertion of a permanent Gortex implant. For patients who desire something in between, Dr. Alsarraf recommends the use of Alloderm, an acellular human dermis graft, which lasts longer than collagen but avoids many of the potential complications of a permanent synthetic graft.

Lip augmentation takes 1/2 to one hour and is performed in either the office or the out-patient hospital setting, depending on the procedure that is chosen.
